Try offering discounts and deals to your membership over and above your usual benefits package. Try these examples for inspiration:
- British Cycling offers its gold and silver members heavily discounted insurance deals and legal assistance.
- The Institute of Directors also has preferential insurance deals for its members covering office insurance, home and contents insurance, overseas property insurance and professional indemnity.
- The Royal Society of Chemistry - members can take advantage of a vast package of discounts on everything from money off books and journals to reduced care hire, AA membership, discounted software and even deals on travel and leisure offers from hotel breaks to sending flowers.
Obviously you'll need to negotiate with outside providers for the discount but in these harder times saving your members money is a benefit they can't refuse!
